As a part of our commitment to minister to the youth of our community, we sponsor an active Scouting program, which includes Troop 98 for boys ages 11 thru 18. Troop 98 is a part of the Northwest Georgia Council of BSA.

The troop meets every Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. In addition to our regular meeting times, we also take the boys on monthly adventures like camping, hiking and backpacking. Our boys are steadily advancing through the ranks toward Eagle. We currently have five Eagle Scouts and several who are working on their final requirements for Eagle.

To join Boy Scouts, a boy must have completed the 5th grade, be eleven years of age, or have earned the Arrow of Light award as a second year Webelos Scout. Joining costs $10, plus your uniform and handbook, which can be purchased at the Scout Center on Hamilton Avenue in Dalton.
